Meet Local Author Craig Vroom at Barn Owl Books

What do you get when you combine five different Idaho landscapes, resident animals, six Idaho artists, and a local author who loves to tell adventure stories?

Animal Tales from the Heart of Idaho.

Written by McCall author Craig Vroom in partnership with PLT, the children’s book takes readers to five PLT-conserved properties and introduces them to the animals that live there. Each story has its own illustrator, and Val the Heart makes an appearance along the way with fun facts about the animals and the places they call home.

It’s a book that’s meant to be read with kids, in classrooms, or wherever you happen to have a young animal-and-outdoors enthusiast nearby. And, hopefully, it gets a few readers curious about the places they’re exploring around West Central Idaho.
