What It Means To Be An Accredited Land Trust

There is a national organization – the Land Trust Alliance – with 950 member land trusts from across the United States. The Land Trust Alliance provides education and training opportunities, advocates for conservation and promotes land conservation as a priority nationwide. The Land Trust Alliance has an accreditation process in which qualifying land trusts are awarded a seal of accreditation and required to uphold national standards. There are currently 460 accredited land trusts, of which Payette Land Trust is proud to be one.
