The Idaho Climate-Economy Impacts Assessment was released by the McClure Center – University of Idaho in December 2021. Payette Land Trust’s Executive Director, Craig Utter, participated in this project as a member of the Advisory Board.

The assessment is a nonpartisan, science-based resource to help Idaho business leaders and policy makers plan for a productive, prosperous, and resilient Idaho economy. This assessment connects the latest scientific research on Idaho’s changing climate with economic risks and opportunities that impact businesses, residents, and local and state economies.

PLT, in conjunction with Idaho Business for the Outdoors, is hosting a meeting for Idahoans to learn about and further explore the assessment on Friday, May 13 at Tamarack Resort. Research experts will be on hand to talk about working lands, human health, and recreation and tourism
