We are excited to announce the addition of a shuttled float on the North Fork Payette River prior to the Conservation Day BBQ this year!

Enjoy a leisurely paddle from the City of McCall’s Riverfront Park (Sheep Bridge) to the Payette Riverwalk Alliance Property off Moonridge Dr. (approximately 3.5 miles), ending up at the Conservation Day BBQ!

Payette Land Trust recently completed a unique project, in conjunction with Payette Riverwalk Alliance, securing 44 acres of riverfront property off of Moonridge Dr near McCall. PLT holds an easement on the property to protect wildlife habitat and allow for public recreational opportunities. Public access to the NF Payette River is limited along the river corridor, and prior to this easement people wanting to float the NF Payette from McCall were not able to get off the river until many miles downstream, requiring a full day to enjoy this mellow section of the river. Now, it’s possible to take out at the Riverwalk Alliance Property where there is limited designated parking. Even better – no need to worry about parking if you join the Conservation Day River Excursion on June 17, and then stay for the BBQ and fun!
