In 2022, a unique project facilitated by Payette Land Trust was completed to protect 44 acres of North Fork Payette riverfront property from development.

This summer, we spoke with Judy Secrist, a key leader in this project from the very beginning. Born and raised in Idaho, Judy has long appreciated the state’s natural beauty and outdoor activities. The opportunity to secure this property and provide public access to the river is a dream come true for her.

Access to the Payette Riverwalk property is non-motorized and allows for outdoor recreation such as watercraft takeout, walking, skiing, snowshoeing, and fishing. For information on parking and public use please visit the PRA website.
